I'm Back!!

If any of you have been following my blog I am sure you have noticed that I haven't posted anything in a looooong while! Long story short, I started working full time in September of last year and had to put my crafting aside.  I was really bummed because I didn't think I would be able to do what I loved and was a huge stress reliever for me.  I have met some fabulous ladies at work who also share the love of crafting and have motivated me to start up again.  I won't be able to post everyday, but my goal is to post 2-3 times a week, maybe more.

When I got the new 2010/2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog I knew I had to have the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  It is so pretty and so elegant.  It makes such a pretty card all by itself!  This card was so quick and easy! :)

Your Birthday's in the Bag!

I made this Birthday card for a friend of mine and I really love the color combination.  I think my favorite in color is the Poppy Parade which is the base of this card.  I wanted to use the Poppy Parade color but was stuck on which colors to put with it so I whipped out the color coach and these are the colors it told me to use:  Poppy Parade, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze.  I also used the free Level One Hostess stamp set Birthday Bakery.  This is such an cute set and perfect for water coloring!

Spooky

I LOOOOVE the Wicked Cool stamp set in the catalog!  It is so fun!  I have lots of ideas in my head to make Halloween cards and treat bags using the Wicked Cool set.  I love halloween and can't wait to see all the costumes!  I'm trying to get my son and husband to dress up as Austin Powers and Dr. Evil this year.  We'll see how that goes and if I can get them to do it I'll definitely post pictures. :)

Whimsical Words Cards

Box with Cards

This is a box I made for a birthday gift.  I got the template from Ilina.  It was so easy to make!  This box holds four cards and envelopes.  I will show you the cards tomorrow.  I made the flower on the front by punching 3 scallops using the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra Large Punch. Crumple them up and lay flat.  Using paper snips, snip the scallop edges all the way around.  Layer on top of one another and attach using a brad.  Super easy!

Post It Note Holder

This is the 3rd project we will be making tomorrow at Stamp Camp.  I have always wanted to make these Post-It Note holders.  I have seen them on so many blogs.  It was so quick and easy.  Of course, I love playing around with the owl punch. :)  Doesn't the owl look cool in cork?  You can find the cork sheets on page 205 of the catalog.  I have a few more slots left if you are interested in coming!
